2nd FERRO Mari e Monti Bicycle Contest

Thanks to the kind cooperation of the Nokogiriyama Museum of Fine Arts, a renowned cultural centre on the Boso Peninsula, we are pleased to announce the ‘2nd FERRO Mari e Monti Bicycle Contest in Museum’.

The theme of this contest is ‘Beauty’.

We will evaluate the appeal of bicycles not only as industrial products, but as ‘works of art’ imbued with affection and creativity. Express the artistry inherent in your bicycle through the beauty of its decorations, customisations, and overall balance. The winning bicycle in each category will be displayed inside the Nokogiriyama Museum of Fine Arts.

【Evaluation Criteria】
・Originality and completeness of customisation
・Quality and originality of decorations
・Beauty of decorations and overall balance

【Participation Requirements】
・The bicycle must be roadworthy and safe to ride.
・A maximum of two bicycles per person may be entered.

【Participation categories (no manufacturer or age restrictions)】
1) Horizontal frame category
2) Mixed and staggered frame category
3) Small wheel category
4) Open category


【Exhibition Overview】
・Exhibition period: Saturday, 1 November 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00.
・Exhibition location: Nokogiriyama Art Museum gardens.
・Display method: Use your own display stand (rental stands are not available).
・Setup: 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, 1st November; set up according to staff instructions.
・Dismantling: dismantle individually by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, 1st November

【Overview of the winning bicycle exhibition】
・Exhibition period: From 13:00 on Saturday, 1st November to 16:00 on Sunday, 2nd November.
・Location: Inside the Nokogiriyama Museum of fine Arts (Public Interest Foundation).
・Exhibition method: Use your own stand (rental is not available).
・Dismantling: Dismantle individually after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, 2 November.

【Important Notes】
・The organisers shall not be held liable for any damage to the bicycles on display caused by force majeure.
・The organisers reserve the right to photograph the bicycles on display for use in press releases, on the web and in related media.

 Participation fee: £7.50 (per bicycle)
Venue: Nokogiriyama Art Museum Public Interest Incorporated Foundation (2146-1 Kanaya, Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture 299-1861)


Admission fee: 1100 JPY for adults / 500 JPY for junior high and high school students
※Free admission for: registered participants in FERRO Mari e Monti 2025, elementary school children and younger, holders of disability certificates.
